Read a single event from your primary Google Calendar by id. Useful when a flow only has the id (e.g. from a vault, from a previous Create Event run, from a Telegram callback) and needs the current state of the event.

Inputs

InputTypeDescription
eventIdstringRequired. The event id (returned by Create / List Event).

Outputs

OutputTypeDescription
summarystringEvent title.
descriptionstringEvent description.
locationstringEvent location.
startstringISO 8601 datetime (or date only for all-day events).
endstringISO 8601 datetime (or date only for all-day events).
attendeesstringComma-separated list of attendee emails — same format Update / Create accept on input.
htmlLinkstringLink to the event in Google Calendar UI.
errorstringEmpty on success. Contains Google's error message when status is ERROR.

The output set is intentionally flat (no nested JSON) so flow authors can drag fields straight into other actions. For raw JSON access, use List Calendar Events (which returns the same simplified shape inside events).

Permissions required

Manage Calendar events capability (calendar.events). Reconnect with the box checked if it's missing.

Example use cases

  • Refresh state before reschedule — pull the current start/end, compare with the requested change, only PATCH if it actually differs.
  • Format event into Telegram message — Get → Compose → Telegram Bot send.
  • Validate before delete — Get; if summary no longer matches a known prefix, skip Delete.
